Forum - Canberra Centarians: Statistics, Science and Stories of Living to 100 in the National Capital
Thursday 6 June 2013

Friday 2 August 2013

As Canberra celebrates its centenary, more residents of the national capital can look forward to celebrating their 100th birthdays. This forum will showcase the latest research in population ageing, bringing together leaders in centenarian research from around Australia, and will also recognise Canberra’s longest-lived citizens and their contributions to the region over their long lives. It will examine how the character of the national capital is changing as its residents grow older and discuss in practical terms what ageing well means to members of the community now and in the future.

The forum brings together researchers, policy makers, health and aged care professionals, seniors’ organisations and residents of all ages to discuss new research and policy perspectives on the dynamics of our ageing society.
